PROTECT YOUR JEWELRY by
Professionally Examining and Documenting
We specialise in Insurance, Estate & Gemstone Identification
INSURANCE APPRAISALS
Our most commonly requested appraisal. Did you know that most homeowner insurance policies do not provide coverage for jewelry loss or damage unless the items were individually appraised and scheduled?
An insurance appraisal details: the quality, the condition, photography and other identifying information. Lastly, the report will calculate the current retail replacement cost of your jewelry, as this is the value an insurance company would need to reference when replacing a damaged, lost or stolen item.
A detailed insurance appraisal is an essential document for you to be compensated in the event of damage, theft or loss. Protect your jewelry.
ESTATE APPRAISALS
Are you the trustee of an estate? Tasked with finding out the value of jewelry for purposes of equitable distribution?
An estate appraisal or 'Fair Market Valuation' report itemizes jewelry and includes photography, descriptions and an estimated fair market value for each item.
Fair Market is defined by the amount for which the items would be sold in a voluntary manner between a willing buyer and a willing seller neither of whom is under any obligation to buy or sell and both having reasonable knowledge of relevant facts. It is neither a forced sale or a sale price.
The need for this type of appraisal may arise from the disposition of assets prior to or after divorce proceedings as well as assets received from gifts or estates.
GEMSTONE IDENTIFICATION REPORT
This service is provided to both the retail jewelry trade and private clients for determining the identification and verification of loose gemstones and gemset jewelry.
Perhaps the only thing you require is independent identification. If you do not require a report or value estimate you may be interested in a 'consultation' which is priced lower.
APPRAISAL PRICING
